On 21 September the leading trade show for metalworking, the EMO in Hanover, Germany, ended under this year's motto "Intelligence in Production“. For 6 days a total of 145,000 trade fair visitors were able to obtain information on the latest trends and technologies of the metalworking industry from the over 2,100 exhibitors from 43 countries.
And of course, JUNKER was also there. With an area of over 420 m² and three grinding machines on exhibit, we convinced the interested specialized visitors of the advantages of our new technologies. A technical highlight at the trade fair was certainly the JUPITER centerless grinding machine and the versatile JUSTAR grinding center.
The JUSTAR grinding center offers maximum flexibility and top productivity. Through the use of a broad range of grinding operations in combination with a fully automated grinding wheel changer, virtually all workpiece shapes can be machined in a single clamping set-up on the JUSTAR.
The centerless cylindrical grinding machines of the JUPITER series offer the perfect platform for series production with outstanding grinding results. Among other things, the outside diameter of piston pins can be ground with a cycle time of 3 seconds on the JUPITER machine using the centerless through grinding process. With rough and finish grinding in a single grinding operation, a high finishing quality is achieved.
