A symbolic ground breaking ceremony launched construction work on a new production hall providing 1,152 m² of additional space to accommodate a paint shop and metalworking facility.
The new paint shop will take up an area of 432 m² and will comprise a cleaning booth, grinding and prep station and paint booth. The paint shop has been combined with an energy-saving drying system in compliance with the latest standards. The entire system is equipped with part handling technology capable of moving parts with total weights of up to 2 tons through the plant.
A new metalworking facility equipped for state-of-the-art sheet metal working and a 10-ton gantry crane for producing machine enclosures and small components, as well as recreation facilities for staff will take up the remaining 720 m². The extension work will be completed by the end of the year, creating a total production area for the JUNKER Group of around 58,000 m².
The JUNKER Group has owned several factories in the Czech Republic since 1992. The company’s early expansion into Eastern Europe laid an important foundation which proved pivotal to the expansion of its international market position.
