The PLATEMAT is a unique system for grinding the outer contour and negative chamfer on cutting inserts in a single clamping set-up. Four interpolated axes carry out the various grinding operations reliably and with high precision. Its CNC controls can achieve a wide range of radius and clearance angle variations, for example, constant radius, constant clearance angle and variable clearance angle.
